What We Do

PRACTICE: The Truman State University Cheer Squad is responsible for attending PM practices four days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  During competition season and other highly scheduled performance periods, practices are scheduled during early AM hours to meet demands as needed. The Cheer Squad weight lifts in the Truman Varsity Weight Room for two to three hours a week during practice times. Additional cardio hours are to be completed on their own in the Truman State University Recreation Center.

PERFORMANCE: Truman Cheerleaders are available to Truman Public Relations as needed in order to represent the university. This includes events such as Family Day, out of state tailgating, and much more. Truman Cheerleaders perform at every home football game, the nationally televised Division II game (home or away), every home basketball game, the NCAA Men’s and/or Women’s tournaments,  and as many away games as the Truman Athletics Director and Captains deem necessary.   The Cheerleaders also perform during Homecoming and other events available upon request (trumancheerleading@gmail.com).
