Tryout Information 2008 |
Tryouts will be held March 29-30, 2008 in Pershing Small gym. Registration will begin at 8 am March 29. Clinic will begin promptly at 9 am, break for an hour lunch and conclude at 5 pm. During clinic a cheer, chant and dance will be taught to all female potential new cheerleaders. In the afternoon there will be time for tumbling, jumps and stunting. Men will be responsible for learning cheer and chant words (without motions) as well as co-ed stunting.
Actual tryouts will begin Sunday, March 30 at 9 am and there will be a new team meeting in the afternoon following the announcement of the 2008-2009 squad. All clinics and tryouts will be closed to the public. Both clinic and tryouts are mandatory; we will not be accepting video tryouts.
All potential new cheerleaders must bring completed Information Form and Informed Consent Form to registration. All participants should wear sturdy athletic shoes, plain t-shirts (no previous cheer squad or Greek t-shirts), and comfortable shorts.
